Full Bio

Weronika and Elizabeth believe that engaging with music is essential, transformative, and joyful. Through Marvento Duo’s innovative performances and projects, they bring meaningful chamber music experiences to diverse audiences, connecting people with each other.

Marvento Duo collaborates regularly with the Multiverse Concert Series, which presents multimedia events connecting scientific discovery with music. Ongoing Multiverse projects include “Shadows of Exoplanets” and “Reef Music.”  Another recent chamber music program, "Twenty-somethings," explored music of different centuries written by composers in their 20s. Marvento Duo performed their "Mythos" and "Translations" programs both as traditional recitals and as interactive concerts with listening activities and audience discussions. Weronika and Elizabeth have presented workshops for graduate students at MIT, the Boston Flute Academy, Rockport Music, Sistema Somerville, and St. Paul’s Choir School. They perform at Groupmuse house concerts and were featured on the Family Concert Series, Faculty Concert Series, and Neighborhood Concert Series at Brookline Music School and Powers Music School.

Marvento Duo was founded in 2013 when Weronika and Elizabeth discovered a musical connection while helping each other prepare for master’s graduation recitals at the Longy School of Music. They attended Lincoln Center’s Teaching Artist Development Labs together, which played an important role in shaping Marvento’s mission and activities. They both grew up in Indiana but met in Boston, where they are active as chamber musicians and teaching artists in various communities.
